Ethan Byler has spent his career supporting entrepreneurial growth as a practitioner in innovation-based economic development at a biomedical research institute and technology accelerator, an economic development consulting firm and at a global engineering professional society. Most recently, he was the Manager of Global Development at the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) where he managed programs that impact ASME’s development of technology-based solutions that target emerging markets and managing other new business models at the organization.
Ethan was the Business Manager of the Pennsylvania Biotechnology Center of Bucks County, theInstitute for Hepatitis & Virus Research, and was the Coordinator of the Keystone Innovation Zone program there. He led business development, fundraising, grant application, technology transfer, and management of the overall programming and business operations for the campus focused on translational biomedical research. Ethan has also worked as a consultant focused on county to national level technology-based economic development strategies for a consulting firm in Washington, DC. Ethan holds a Master’s Degree from the Fels Institute of Government at the University of Pennsylvania and a BA from the University of Charleston.
